The container terminal of GySEV Cargo isn't really a picturesque scenery. It was however made as a christmas present. The biggest challenge was to figure out how such an industrial environment can be made pleasant to look at. I'd like to think I have achieved this goal.

The customer wanted to surprise the newly-weds on their 40th anniversary. They often talked about how they never got to go to a real ski resort, so they would slide down the street in fron of the house. The street is still there, the houses have been the same for a century, I had to imagine the snow and the skiers...

The Chapel for Our Lady of Mount Carmel can be clearly seen from the road, but it is a little ways in, on the field, surrounded by poppies and wheatflower. On the way home the heart rejoyces, knowing arrival is an arms length away. The painting was a gift for a husband always on the road.

Made for someone, who spent half their life in Pécs, the other in Sopron. The request was that if someone looks at it hanging from the wall, they shouldn't notice this view is not real. But those, who know these places should notice immediately. I could identify with this, because these two cities have been important in my life as well.

My son was promenading through Budapest. He looked into a gateway, and the sun cast such beautiful rays on the plants. He quickly took a picture and brought it home: Mom, I think this would make for a good painting.
Well, the photo was such, that I could almost smell the piss at the bottom of the apartment house and feel that awful anxiety that makes me not want to live there. I tried to sneek in the miracle of a moment that makes one forget all that.
